Lovely home in a private gated community with access to pools and a private beach. Phenomenal view off the back deck of a marsh pond and the ocean, making outdoor dining fantastic. Hosts could to invest a bit more in basic necessities for the house, like a new toaster, more than 1 dish-washing pod, a few pantry staples, etc. Additionally the outdoor furniture on the lower back deck badly needs to be updated. But overall we had a great time and enjoyed the house.

We will be getting the toaster replaced as part of our regular home upkeep, and we will also be sure to inspect the furniture on the lower back deck to ensure it is meeting our standards for guest comfort. Other provided amenities, such as dishwasher pods and similar supplies, are offered as a starter kit for arrival, and guests may need to replenish items based on their length of stay and usage. Fun at the Beach
Our experience at Palmetto Cottage was amazing! The house accommodated our group of 6 adults and 2 children. The kitchen was well supplied for all our cooking needs. The beach wagon was a blessing getting the children to the pools and beach. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. I would recommend the placement of a baby gate at the top of the stairs. The location of the house is very centrally located to all the pools and both beaches. Thank you.

Great home for a family beach week. The location made it easy to access the pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and the beach. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed for beach activities, and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking at home. The layout offered plenty of space for everyone, and the multiple outdoor areas were a highlight—there was always a comfortable spot to relax and unwind. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Spring Break 2026
We stayed at Palmetto Cottage. It is a lovely home. We had eight people in our group. My daughter, our son-in-law, their two daughters, and our granddaughters friends, my wife and I. Our stay was from March 28th- April 4th. We loved the location of Palmetto Cottage. It is convenient to the pools, and beaches. It has a great view of the East Pass that leads to Destin Harbor. Also the proximity to the marsh/pond allowed us to enjoy listening to the frogs that started their collective serenade at sunset each evening. Our family enjoyed snorkeling in the East Pass near the rock jetty. We nicknamed the area Turtle Cove. It is calm and absolutely gorgeous. It reminds me of some of the Caribbean beaches we have visited through the years. The home had very comfortable beds, which was important to me because I have back issues. I used the grill one night to grill fish, which I purchased at a local seafood market. We used the wristbands to enjoy the water taxi to HarbourWalk. Also we drove over there a couple times, and the wristbands saved us the $20 parking fee. Overall we had a fantastic week at Destin Pointe and want to return in the future. I would book Palmetto Cottage without any hesitation. A wonderful home to enjoy a relaxing and fun stay!

I loved this place!
I loved this place! We went to the rocks on the ocean every night and saw the sunset and we would see a bunch of dolphins and they would jump and backflip!! This was a really pretty place to stay. I loved the pretty deck. There is so much sea life to see. The bikes were a great activity to do. Great place to stay. Love Destin Florida!

I could not be more delighted with our vacation! We loved the house, views, beaches and activities. We vacationed in Destin for many years when our children were teens. Now we are here with grandchildren and love it once again!

Had a great time!
Came down with friends and family from 3 different states. Had a great time! Perfect weather. Perfect accommodations - loved the view and proximity to the bay and gulf. All three pools are great. The beds are extra comfy! Enjoyed meals on the deck. Caught lots of fish near the jetty. Enjoyed the fish rodeo off the upper floor of AJ's. Took a tour of the surrounding neighborhoods on the bikes, used the paddle boards and the kayaks (need lots of strength for kayaking due to currents), but it was fun. We will be back! Thank you!

Coziest Beach Cottage!
I stayed here with a group of friends for a week and we had the best time! The house was very clean and had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay - comfy beds and a great living space we enjoyed hanging out in together. The kitchen had all the necessary items to cook from home, and the living room is connected to the main deck, which includes a nice dining table and grill for cooking and eating outside. We ate dinner outside and enjoyed the sunset most nights! Great location, too - just a short walk from the beach/pool, and the development is across the street from the grocery store. Our beach chairs were set up on our behalf every day, and the house came with kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, and bikes - we used all of them! Will definitely stay here again!

Fabulous clean upscale home
Fabulous clean upscale home in the heart of Destin with great access to the beach(s). The kids loved being able to ride bikes in the gated community and/or ride to the different pools/beach. Highly recommend this house for families with kids.

a wonderful time
We had a wonderful time at Palmetto Cottage. The grandkids and their parents loved having access to the bicycles and kayaks and beach toys! It is a bit longer walk to the beach than listed in the description, but really wasn’t a problem for them- just for me with a bad knee. We loved the view on the back deck and loved staying in Destin Pointe Resort. Thank you!

This Destin Pointe Cottage is perfect for family getaways.
This Destin Pointe Cottage is perfect for family getaways.  My family and I have enjoyed several trips and look forward to many more.  The Cottage is clean and beautifully decorated and so close to every amenity.  The Owners provided virtually everything we needed for a relaxing stay and walking distance to the beaches and pools, including the new infinity edge pool for guest use.  Hard to beat the Cottage IMHO.

This is a 5***** property, without a doubt! We will return!
We have stayed at Palmetto Cottage in Destin Pointe a handful of times over the past 5 years. Like always, it is a wonderful home and beach location. First of all, Destin Pointe is a great community. With the addition of the new infinity pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean, it is even better than ever. There are now 3 pools to choose from! New umbrellas and chairs on the beach are a great upgrade and we love the colors (and they are included in Palmetto Cottage's stays)! The cottage itself is amazing. It is clearly a well loved home, and so much care is taken to make sure everything is in top shape, clean and fresh. It is decorated wonderfully and very comfortable. Beautiful views from all the decks, especially from the living area and master suite! The sunsets are AMAZING! The kitchen is fun to cook in with a group of people. Lots of pots and pans, flatware, glassware and dishes. The mattresses in all the bedrooms are very comfortable. Standup paddleboards, kayaks, extra beach chairs are all provided. It is just a quick, 1 minute walk to the beach, and the home overlooks the wildlife refuge. This is a 5***** property, without a doubt! We will return!

Palmetto Cottage was perfect for our recent 4 day stay
The location of the house off the main artery for Destin is close to shopping and restaurants but when inside the community, it feels very far away which is lovely. The house's location on the lake is beautiful with wonderful morning and sunset views of the beach. The light flowing into the main living/kitchen and deck area is just wonderful - it was my favorite part. The beach is a very short walk and is nice and wide with the quintessential gulf white sands and blue water. We went in winter so we weren't swimming but we took chairs to the beach to watch the sunset and walked on the beach every day. We did take advantage of the community pool and hot tub! The house is well thought out and well designed. The kitchen had everything we could need. The beds were comfy with nice linens and towels. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

One of a Kind Beach House
The Palmetto Cottage is the perfect place to stay at the beach. The house is in a quiet, charming neighborhood off the beaten path. The house is in an ideal location in the neighborhood as it is close to the beach, bay and both pools so it's easy to paddle board, kayak, walk on the beach or ride bikes. Palmetto Cottage is lovely and perfectly appointed to make it a one of a kind beach house. The room setup and two back decks are awesome. The views are amazing all day long. This house really has everything! We can't wait to go back!
