Southern Nights at Destin Pointe Resort

A relaxing getaway
Overall, we were happy with the property and our stay. Our kids loved having the bikes available, our little pool, and the community pools. We loved that we had access to the beach and to the bay - the last 2 days we were there it was a double red flag at the beach so having access to the bay was great! The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need. A few complaints: The space above the garage smells of mold/mildew and was hard to sleep in with allergies. The front door of the main home is warped, and you have to slam it to get it to shut. The outdoor speakers did not work or we couldn't figure them out. There were only two dish towels and with 11 people, we had a lot of dishes. Bring your own with you. The tennis courts were under construction so we couldn't play pickleball on site. They gave us an option to go elsewhere but it wasn't convenient. Not sure why you would do this in peak season?? Unfortunately, this wasn't the original house we had booked but it ended up working for the group. Val Holla was where we booked but it was sold and our reservation was cancelled about a month before leaving. Destin Pointe did everything they could to make it right but we were still disappointed that the owners (or new owners) didn't have to honor reservations for a certain amount of time. Southern Nights was a bit small for our group but we made it work. I would come back to this location but I will always be a bit leery that our reservations could get cancelled.

Our maintenance team will be reviewing the items mentioned to ensure everything is in good working order and properly addressed. We encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can assist with anything needed. We also understand the frustration with the tennis and pickleball courts. Those amenities are managed by the HOA, including scheduling and any construction timelines, and we know it can be disappointing when that impacts planned activities. We will also be adding updated instructions for the outdoor speakers to help make them easier to use for future guests. We truly appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to continue improving both the home and the guest experience.

Beautiful place, very clean! Love Destin Pointe! We loved the house, this yr was our second time staying at Destin Pointe I think we were spoiled on our first stay because the house we stayed at had lots of extras that this one didn’t, just small things like no extra blankets or games so be sure to bring your own but we loved it none the less!

We came in for a short stay to attend a wedding reception. The Destin Pointe community has great location to beach and dining. Our condo was nice size for 5 adults. We had a great time.

Amazing Spring Break

My family and extended family thoroughly enjoyed our time in the home and pool/hot tub. The home was well appointed with beautiful decor and gorgeous architecture. We loved the color palate and the openness of the great room flowing into the backyard. Alexis was a bonus!! Thank you for giving us a place to build beautiful memories. We will come again! :-)

We plan to stay at Destin Pointe again!
The location for beach days is perfect. Very quiet and private beaches. Pool options on site were great for changing things up. And having two pool options kept our family having new fun (the new pool will be even better when its ready). Even when staying pretty far north inside the community the walk to the beaches was easy (with a wagon). We plan to stay at Destin Pointe again!

I would stay here again.
The place was very nice. Everything was very clean. It was in walking distance to the beach. Couple of things, insignificant, but fridge was warm and didn't cool off until next day and there are no extra garbage bags. I texted with the host and they were very responsive. I would stay here again.
